Dr. Valentyna Bondarovska, Director of the International Humanitarian Center ROZRADA, Ukraine

Dr. Valentyna Bondarovska is the Director of the "Rozrada" Center. She is a consulting psychologist, trainer, coordinator of more than 30 international projects and author of more than 250 scientific works and more than 50 popular articles in newspapers and magazines on the issues of human rights, gender equality, prevention of violence against women, domestic violence, child development and family conflicts. She has participated in numerous radio and TV programs; in particular, she is a common guest-speaker on radio programs such as "Family Evenings" (Channel 1) and "Variant" {radio station "Promin"'). Valentyna is the Vice-president of All-Ukrarnian Association of Professional Psychologists and a member of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sport. She is also a member of the International Association of Applied Psychology and International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychology. She was the Ukrainian coordinator of Humanitarian Program "Family To Family" for Psychological Support of victims of the Chernobyl Disaster.

Valentina studied at the Colorado University and at the Family Center; also she completed a two-year program on preparation of trainers and consulting psychologists (USA, Barry and Janey Wienhold).

Main activity directions

I. Psychological fundamentals of the human vital functions

Practical psychological consulting work on the topic of domestic violence, family conflicts, psychological support of people who have low self-esteem and problems with self-realization;
Analysis of the psychological consequences of the totalitarian regime, retrieval and formation of the new models of human behavior;
Studying the psychological particularities of political behavior of an individual and political groups in the process of civil society formation;
Psychological issues of organization's functioning, psychology of the advertising, PR, org-psychological designing;
Socio-psychological research of the urgent problems of society democratization.

 

II. Psychological and ergonomic fundamentals of new informational technologies usage

She has been researching these problems since 1974.

The following research directions can be distinguished:
studying the peculiarities of psychological knowledge acquisition and usage in the practice of computerization;
studying the influence that the new informational technologies usage has on the condition of physical and psychological health of a person;
psychological and ergonomic fundamentals of study computerization;
peculiarities of the creative activity of a person who uses new informational technologies;
humanitarian problems of new informational technologies usage.

 

III. Coordination of the Humanitarian Program "Ukrainian-American Bridge "Family to a Family"

Valentina provides consultations for women, men and couples on the topic of family conflicts, increasing self-esteem, communicational problems.

She carries out psychological training programs for professionals: "Prevention And Overcoming Of Violence Against Women", "Psychological Support Of The Family", "Group Work", "Psychology of Management".

In the network of the program "Ukraine-USA" Valentina works as a trainer with the programs "A Modern Person: How to Manage Him/Her", "Personal Development. The School of Leadership", "Electoral Technologies", "Creating a Team and Working with a Team".

Valentina is the author of the books "What Can We Do to Prevent Domestic Violence" and "Woman and Business", the booklet "Let's Say NO to Women Discrimination in the Workplace".
